Mr. Wyatt’s legal focus is criminal law and litigation. He has handled thousands of cases and has taken a large variety of cases to jury trial, ranging from murder to DWI. He has been called to testify in court as an expert witness. He has spoken to many groups, ranging from Mexican legal officials to college students. He has also given numerous media interviews and has appeared on several television and radio programs.

In 2004, Mr. Underwood left the El Paso District Attorney’s office to form WyattUnderwood. In 2012, he was admitted as a fellow to the Texas Bar Foundation, an honor only bestowed upon the top 1/3 of 1% of Texas attorneys. Every year since 2009 Justin has received a BV rating, the highest a lawyer can receive, from Martindale-Hubbell. Justin is a Member of the Texas Defense Lawyers Association, the El Paso Bar Association, the UTEP alumni association, and the Texas Tech alumni association.
